Gratitude and Story: On Telling The Stories We Have Inside
We are storytelling creatures, and as children we acquire language to tell those stories that we have inside us.
Jerome Bruner
I began my gratitude experiment in the summer of 2017. It seemed at the time, and that has only continued to be the case, there was nothing that everyone could talk about. I was interested in conversation that comes from a place of goodness rather than hate. I had been focusing on gratitude in my yoga practice for a while, so I decided to start talking about gratitude. Gratitude is positive, kind, and productive. In a world starving, crying, and hurting that made sense.
