Once In A Very Blue Moon
Just once in a very blue moon
From Nanci Griffith’s “Once In A Very Blue Moon“
Just once in a very blue moon
Just once in a very blue moon
And I feel one comin’ on soon
Getting over. Moving On. Mending broken hearts. Brushing off my britches. None of it is easy. None of it is a one and off proposition. None of it ever completely heals, scar tissue remains. We can become wiser, stronger, and softer. We live from our wounds, and blue moons offer hope, grace, forgiveness, wholeness, and breath. That is the beauty of blue moons.
Perhaps blue moons make forgiveness possible. Perhaps blue moons ease sadness. Perhaps blue moons light the as if. Perhaps blue moons shape our falling apart and coming togethers. Perhaps blue moons create space for miracles and awe.
