True Comedy
But life itself, now there’s true comedy
Eugene McCabe
I am thinking about true comedy. True comedy as commentary that offers insight, connection, and understanding. True comedy as the stuff that softens, extends, and expands. True comedy as the scaffolding of hope, light, and faith. True comedy as the space to hold conflict, forgiveness, and repair. True comedy as a conduit for vulnerability, compassion, and courage. True comedy as the excavation of pain, purveyor of honesty, and the beginning of healing. That, to me, is true comedy.
