All the Stars
During the day it is hard to remember that all the stars in the sky are out there all the time, even when I am too blinded by the sun to see them.
Barbara Brown Taylor
There is a constancy to light and dark, like sunlight at the depth of an ocean or in the heart of a cave. I find it comforting like rhythm and center. I find it comforting like navigation by starlight. I find it comforting like candles and dawn. All the time the stars are out there doing their thing. Existing beyond life’s finitude and fire. Like ages and eons, stars explode our truth beyond lifetimes into the realm of permanent impermanence. After that, it is all just a dance of falling apart and back together. After that it is all just a dance of as Ross Gay explains seeking what we love in common. After that, it is all just a dance as Ram Dass suggests walking each other home.
