A curious thing
A curious thing, life, and curious those who live it.
Robert McLiam Wilson
I thirst for curiosity. Curiosity looks like seeing things through beginner’s eyes. Curiosity looks like asking a question and listening to the answer. Curiosity looks like imagination and invention. Curiosity looks like creativity and building.
People who really live life are profoundly curious. I am not entirely sure of the difference between live and live, maybe it is simply a decision? Maybe it is courage inspired by mentors and loved ones? Maybe it is luck created by a relentless pursuit of all that matters? Maybe it is the meaningful connection between curiosity and hope, curiosity and connection, and curiosity and openness.
Can we be both curious and sad? Can we be both curious and angry? Can we be both curious and cruel? I don’t think so. I think there is a something elemental about curiosity that moves us through sadness, anger, and cruelty. Curiosity invites durable, elastic softness. Curiosity allows as to chew and digest. Curiosity allows us to knead and rise.
