Perfect Time

I am fascinated by nature’s perfect timing. Flowers bloom. Tides roll. Rivers flow. The moon waxes and wanes. The sun shines. It all moves in divine rhythm. There is a natural order to our days when we pay attention. We run with open hearts and hands to what is ours. We sing our song. We thrive. We hold what matters close. We let go of what does not serve. Perfect time is beautifully simple and impossible to ignore. Like the rapid, we are told to let perfect time carry us to safety at the river’s edge and we resist at our peril. It is better to make peace with perfect time and relax into the rhythm of the blossom and the bee.

Sparkle and Shine

A friend told me a few years ago that I shine. That sent me on a journey to think about what it means to shine, especially when I don’t feel shiny. I have had to find my shine again and again over the years. We know when we shine. We know when we are on our game. We know when we are in the groove. We also know when we are not. It can be hard to remember that we ever did or could shine during tough times: that we are born to shine. That is the leap we must make. That is the edge we must find. It makes sense to me to live toward more sparkle and shine in my life.

Love Yourself

Whether we want to call it blooming, shining, living our truth, being our best self, or whatever way you want to characterize thriving from the marrow of our bones, the key is love. The kind of deep love that knows we are all love at our very essence. The kind of deep love that knows truth, compassion, and peace. The kind of deep love that creates, shares, connects and seeks. Flowers know it. They bloom, and the bee comes.
