Weekly Wide-Awake: Living Wide-Awakeness
I graduated from The University of Texas with my Ph.D. in August of 2003. Over the years, I have written about wide-awakeness, the conceptual framework for my work, quite a bit. This Weekly Wide-Awake is the collection of some of those writings. I am shocked by how life moves both quickly and slowly. I am learning it is all in perfect time.
It is interesting to come back around to this time every year and take stock. I think about where I am under the light of where I have been and where I want to be. I think about the overwhelming gratitude I feel for having been given the space and freedom to explore. I think about what service means in terms of living wide-awake. I think about how life has chapters — like seasons and days and tides.
May this newsletter stand as my annual thank you note to all those who supported my journey then and support my journey now. May each know my deep felt gratitude. May they be lifted up knowing they touched my life and others. May this newsletter ground my future work in the wisdom gained from my past work. May this newsletter be a prayer for wide-awakeness in a world thirsting for imagination, compassion, and love. May this newsletter reach those who are asleep to interdependence and connection. May we all be a little more one.
