Weekly Wide-Awake: Oneness
Basic human contact – the meeting of eyes, the exchanging of words – is to the psyche what oxygen is to the brain. If you’re feeling abandoned by the world, interact with anyone you can.
Martha Beck
I believe in interdependence and ubuntu. I believe in a consciousness that connects us all and creates magic. I believe that the more we pay attention the more oneness we experience. I believe in oneness muscles that strengthen over time as we look inward and reach outward. Just as human contact is to the psyche as oxygen is to the brain, oneness is the heart of our journey.
In this Weekly Wide-Awake, I have chosen to highlight exercises from the Wild New World course and a few poems. There is poetry in oneness like imagination and kindness. There is prose in oneness like compassion and empathy. There is detail in the way we share with strangers, as we learn there are no strangers. There is beauty as difference vibrates and moves and dances in a celebration of oneness. This is the living journey toward the wild new world.
