Weekly Wide-Awake: Thank You On Being
Dear On Being,
On the occasion of your 20th anniversary, as you announce changes that promise new growth and depth, I want to say thank you. I have pulled together a few of my favorite podcast episodes and reflections in celebration of what you have meant and mean to me. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. You have shown me prayer is a way of life. You have been a safe space to ask big questions. I am an asker of big questions so that has felt like home. You have fed my artist’s soul through poetry and story. I am a writer, and your conversations have connected me to my words. In times of falling apart, your presence has held me and perhaps allowed men to fall gently back together.
I turned 50 this year and in celebration of my birthday I shared 100 notes of thanks. On Being could have been on that list. Please know I will watch your evolution closely, continue to read and listen, and participate in new opportunities. Sending love and light to the entire On Being family.
